A range of art and craft commissions integrated in the new headquarters for Dumfries and Galloway Tourist Board. Contributions by Mohamed Sheibani, whose work explores his relationship to the restrictive and defining nature of walls. The mortar joints have been replaced with mirror polished stainless steel. As the viewer walks past the wall, reflections cause the visual barrier created by walls to dissolve. Stained glass by Bridget Jones, whose window depicts a range of places and wildlife particularly associated with the region. John Crosby’s bench is made from 200 years old elm from Ellisland Farm, long associated with Robert Burns.
