Entente Florale

Client: Inverness and Nairn Enterprise and Rural, Inverness and Nairn LEADER II Programme

Three artists Jim Buchanan, Katayoun Pasban Dowlatshahi and Valerie Pragnall were commissioned to make temporary and permanent works of art as part of the Entente Florale community celebrations in Fort Augustus. Jim rotovated a temporary 130m diameter wide circular earthwork, Katayoun created a series of glass and steel interpretation boxes and Valerie a picnic area containing stone carvings and timber seat. All the works explored local cultural identity and were developed in association with the residents of Fort Augustus.
